About us
QLC’s Managing Director, Brent Ingram has many years of experience within all industry sectors relating to buildings and property, which has allowed us to provide professional support to a broad spectrum of clients.
Relocating from Christchurch to Arrowtown in early 2009 to take up the management of Arrowfield Apartments has provided an understanding of the hospitality industry and guests’ requirements, which helps when formulating property plans for accommodation providers.
We are based in Wanaka, and QLC Consulting covers the Queenstown Lakes and Central Otago region, but we also have strong business and personal relationships in Canterbury, and further afield.
I have been involved in property and body corporate services for over 20 years and recently met and engaged Brent at QLC on one of our Wanaka projects to assist with a long term maintenance and refurbishment plan. Brent has really impressed us with his practical & commercial knowledge in not only helping with the reporting and formalisation of a plan, but his complete assessment and pro-active recommendation on the actual scope of the project, timing, use of contractors and financial viability.
It a pleasure working with him and we will be utilising his services on all our current and future projects in the region.
Ian Thompson, TML Asset Management
QLC Consulting prepared a 20 year maintenance plan for our house in Wanaka. Brent Ingram carried out a full inspection of the building, took photographs and discussed with me all the potential maintenance issues we could think of including septic tank, heat pumps, Velux skylights, garage door, etc.
The plan provides us with a comprehensive schedule of all potential maintenance tasks and an approximate timing/ frequency for attending to those tasks over the next 20 years.
This means we have something formal to work with in terms of keeping up with house maintenance. It also gives us a record of when certain tasks have been completed (were last done), and which ones are overdue.
The plan serves a valuable ongoing service for ourselves as well as being a very valuable document for the next owners of the house, especially the timing of when key tasks were last completed.
The house maintenance plan prepared by QLC Consulting was completed efficiently and is very detailed. Brent engaged effectively with me as the client, and was good at following me up when required.
Most of us believe our houses remain as good as new for far longer than is in fact the case. Regular maintenance is essential and saves money over time. The plan that QLC Consulting has developed is a valuable tool for keeping up with a wide range of small but important maintenance tasks.
I would recommend QLC Consulting’s house maintenance plan for anyone with a substantial investment in their house. Brent is diligent and knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.
Andrew Gawith, Wanaka

Brent consistently demonstrated a remarkable ability to seek out creative solutions, making even the most daunting tasks seem manageable. His open communication and collaborative spirit made working together not only productive but also enjoyable. Francois Swarts, Area Manager, Breen Construction
I have known Brent personally for over 40 years and have worked with Brent in a Professional capacity for around 15 years. His attention to detail and thorough knowledge of products he works with and contacts made over his time within the industry is a valuable asset to be able to have in your tool box.
Through Brents work over the years he has worked on Two of our Apartment complexes and provided an in-depth maintenance schedule which has been easy for us as Managers to understand and for sub contractors to follow.
The ability to call on Brent’s expertise has been integral in saving us money and time with reliable contacts to fix matters before suffering further damage.
We have no hesitation in recommending Brent in a professional capacity to provide work schedules and scopes.
